Classic Swedish, unhurried.
Swedish massage is the foundation of Western therapeutic bodywork — five core strokes (effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement, and vibration) woven into one long, calming rhythm. The pressure is light to medium, the pace is steady, and the goal is to move your body out of stress and into recovery.
I work the whole body — back, shoulders, neck, arms, legs, feet. If your shoulders have been carrying a phone all week or your sleep has been thin, this is the session your body has been asking for.
A nervous system reset.
Decades of clinical research point to a short list of consistent effects when Swedish massage is delivered with care.
-
Lower stress and cortisol
Studies consistently show a measurable drop in cortisol and a shift toward parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) tone within a single session.
-
Eases muscle tension
Long flowing strokes release the upper traps, lower back, and hip flexors — the three places most adults carry the day.
-
Improves circulation
Effleurage gently moves blood and lymph back toward the heart, supporting recovery, oxygen delivery, and tissue repair.
-
Lifts mood
Research links massage to short-term increases in serotonin and dopamine and reductions in self-reported anxiety.
-
Better sleep
Most clients tell me they slept deeply the night of the session and woke up less tight the next morning.
-
More range of motion
Working the soft tissue around the shoulders, hips, and ankles restores the small ranges that desk life tends to take away.
Built for everyday tightness.
Swedish is my most-booked session because it suits almost everyone. A few of the reasons clients reach out:
- First massage and not sure where to start
- A whole week of deskwork stiffness in shoulders and neck
- Travel or jet-lag recovery
- A long-overdue afternoon to yourself
- Sleep has been thin and the body feels wired
- A gift for a partner who never books one for themselves
- Postpartum return to gentle bodywork (cleared by your provider)

I arrive and set up quietly
Table, warm cream linens, oils, and a small speaker. All I need is a quiet room with about a 7 by 7 foot clear floor.
- 02
A short consultation
Two minutes — pressure preference, focus areas, anything to avoid, and your oil choice (unscented or light lavender).
- 03
The session
Long, flowing strokes across the full body, fully draped. You stay covered the entire time — only the area I am working is exposed.
- 04
A quiet wind-down
A glass of water, a few minutes to come back to the room, and I pack up just as quietly. Payment is at the end — cash, Zelle, or Cash App.

Quiet luxury, at home.
The most relaxing 90 minutes I have had all year. She set up quietly and I fell asleep on my own couch.
I booked the 60-minute Swedish before a long flight — best decision. Slept on the plane for the first time in years.
Perfect pressure, perfect pace. I felt completely at ease from the moment she walked in.
Before you reach out.
The questions I hear most when clients ask about Swedish specifically.
-
How is Swedish different from deep tissue?
Swedish uses long, flowing strokes at light-to-medium pressure to calm the whole body. Deep tissue uses slower, more targeted pressure into specific knots. If you want to relax, book Swedish. If you want to work on a chronic tight spot, book deep tissue. You can also ask me to spend a little more time on one area inside a Swedish session. -
What should I wear?
Undress to your comfort level. Most clients are fully undressed under the draping; some keep underwear on. You stay covered with a cream linen sheet the entire time — only the area I am actively working is uncovered. -
Do you provide oils and linens?
Yes. I bring the table, cream linens, warm jojoba and grapeseed oil (unscented by default, light lavender on request), and a small speaker. You only need a quiet room. -
How much space do I need?
About 7 by 7 feet of clear floor — a living room, primary bedroom, or open kitchen-corner all work. Hard floors and carpet are both fine. -
Will Swedish massage hurt?
It should not. Swedish is meant to feel firm and restorative, never painful. If I am ever pressing harder than feels right, tell me and I will lighten up — it does not change the result. -
Should I shower before?
Whatever feels best to you. Most clients shower before so they can fall asleep right after. Either way, please be hydrated and avoid a heavy meal an hour before. -
Can I add aromatherapy or hot stones?
Yes. Mention it on WhatsApp and I will bring the essential oils or stones with me. There is a small upcharge for hot stone (see the aromatherapy and hot stone services). -
How often should I book?
For general stress and tightness, once a month is the sweet spot. If you are recovering from heavy training, traveling a lot, or sleeping badly, every two weeks feels better. We can find your rhythm together.
Tell me when and where.
Share a few basics and I will confirm a time on WhatsApp the same day. No deposit — payment at the appointment.
Tell me when, I'll be there.
A message on WhatsApp is all it takes. I will suggest a time within the day and confirm the address.
