Maderoterapia, unhurried.
Wood therapy — maderoterapia — is a sculpting massage that uses hand-carved wooden tools to move lymph, soften fascia, and visibly contour the body over a course of sessions. The technique comes out of Colombia and has become one of the most-requested non-invasive bodywork modalities in the last decade.
Each tool does something different: rolling pins glide fluid toward the lymph nodes, the cup shapes the glutes and outer thighs, the mushroom lifts the abdomen, the lymphatic plate finishes with long sweeping passes. Pressure is firm but never sharp — the tools spread the load so it never feels like a single point digging in.
Visible contour, real movement, no needles.
Clients book maderoterapia for the same reason it has gone viral on TikTok — visible change over a short series — but the under-the-skin work is the real value.
-
Contours over a series
Most clients see a measurable change in the waist, glutes, or outer thighs after four sessions. Single sessions feel great; the series is where the visible work lives.
-
Drains stagnant lymph
The rolling pins and lymphatic plate move fluid toward the inguinal and axillary nodes — the engine behind the post-session "lighter" feeling clients describe.
-
Softens fascia
The connective-tissue layer that sits over the muscle becomes more pliable with sustained tool work, which is what lets the body re-shape with care.
-
Improves circulation
Warmth, movement, and the right pressure profile increase local blood flow — the same reason a session leaves the skin glowing for a day or two.
-
Smooths the look of cellulite
Wood therapy will not eliminate cellulite — nothing does — but consistent sessions visibly soften the dimpled look by working the fascia underneath.
-
Pairs with movement
The results compound when you are eating well and moving regularly. The session is the catalyst, not a substitute.
For visible change over a short course.
Maderoterapia is the session clients book when they want a tangible result in a known timeframe — a wedding, a trip, post-baby return to body, or a quiet body-care reset.
- Pre-event prep — wedding, photoshoot, milestone trip
- Postpartum return to body (with provider clearance)
- Stubborn lower-belly or flank fluid retention
- Glute and outer-thigh contour work
- Cellulite that you want softened, not promised away
- A quiet body-care reset that does not involve needles or surgery
- A maintenance session every few weeks after a series
From the knock at your door.
Maderoterapia is firmer than Swedish but never sharp. I keep the experience private and entirely on your terms.

I arrive and set up quietly
Table, warm cream linens, oils, the tool roll, and a small speaker. All I need is a quiet room with about a 7 by 7 foot clear floor.
- 02
A goals consultation
Five minutes — which areas you want to focus on, whether you are working a one-off or a series, any sensitivities, and any contraindications (recent surgery, varicose veins on the area, pregnancy).
- 03
The session
I work the chosen areas with each tool in sequence — warming first, then sculpting, then finishing with lymphatic passes toward the nodes. Fully draped throughout; only the area being worked is uncovered.
- 04
Aftercare and wind-down
Water, a few minutes to sit up, and a short note on hydration, walking, and low-sodium meals around session days. Payment at the end — cash, Zelle, or Cash App.
One session, or a series.
Single sessions feel great. The series is where you see the change. No deposit — payment at the appointment.
Best for two areas worked together — flanks + glutes, or abdomen + outer thighs.

A short course, a visible result.
I booked the 4-session series before a beach trip and the waist work was real — measurable in the mirror, not just a feeling.
Postpartum belly bloat was making me hide. Four sessions later my abdomen felt soft and moved again. Worth every dollar.
Tools, not hands — and I was skeptical. Then the outer thighs felt light the next day and I got it.
Before you reach out.
The questions I hear most when clients ask about maderoterapia specifically.
-
How is wood therapy different from a regular massage?
A standard massage works the muscle. Maderoterapia works the fascia and the lymph — the connective tissue and fluid layers that sit above and around the muscle. The wooden tools spread pressure more evenly than hands can, which is why the work feels firm but never sharp. The goal is movement and contour, not relaxation, though most clients leave more relaxed than they expected. -
Will I see results after one session?
You will likely feel lighter and notice the skin looks brighter for a day or two. Measurable contour change usually shows after the 4-session series — that is why the series is priced as a course. If your goal is a visible result, book the series; if you want the feel-good, a single session does the job. -
Will it hurt?
It is firmer than Swedish but never sharp. You may feel "tender" on the second day after, the way you might after a tough workout. If anything during the session is too much, tell me and I lighten up — the result does not change. -
Will I bruise?
A small percentage of clients get faint, short-lived bruising — especially after the first session or on areas with thin skin. It fades in days. If you have a known clotting issue or are on a blood thinner, message me before booking so we can talk through it. -
Can I do this while pregnant?
No — maderoterapia is not appropriate during pregnancy. For pregnancy, book the prenatal massage instead. Postpartum is fine once you are cleared by your provider (usually six weeks for an uncomplicated vaginal birth, longer after a C-section). -
How often should I book the series?
Once or twice a week, four sessions total, is the rhythm that delivers the visible result. After the series, monthly maintenance keeps the work in place. -
What should I do between sessions?
Hydrate well, walk daily, keep sodium reasonable, and skip alcohol around session days when you can. The tools move the fluid; your body needs to clear it. The series compounds when you are doing your part between visits. -
Do you provide tools, oils, and linens?
Yes. I bring the full set of hand-carved tools, the table, cream linens, warm jojoba and grapeseed oil, and a small speaker. You only need a quiet room.
